Major Activities/Achievements : Interaction India is a national level, multifaceted and multidimensional voluntary organisation working for the welfare and proper development of the children, the youth and the women, with a focus on the deprived sections, living in the hills and in urban slums and also in economically and socially backward areas, with a view to bring about a qualitative improvement in the living and working environment. In the past 11 years, Interaction India has made efforts to spread its wings in the Northeast, New Delhi and Bihar. It represents a national-level voluntary endeavor since June 08, 1998 when its first project was inaugurated to provide relief to the child victims of ethnic violence in Churachandpur, Manipur. To begin with, the first project assisted nearly 100 child victims. Later on, the same initiative was undertaken in Kokrajhar, Assam, where ethnic violence had erupted. Interaction India has been functioning in Kokrajhar for the last 10 years. The organisation adopted three villages (2 Santhal villages and 1 Bodo Village) of Kokrajhar district and through sustained efforts has managed to bring a positive change in the area. Micro Credit, Piggery, Goat-Rearing, Fishery, Community-Farming, Anti-liquor campaign and Social Forestry are the programmes which have been successfully implemented. Interaction India organised a number of Seminars to address the burning problems of the Northeast. The organisation established a Centre at Bairagania to provide assistance to the poor women and children of the Naxal-hit areas of north Bihar. Currently, Interaction India has more than 8 projects, spreading in Northeast, Bihar and Delhi.
