Major Activities/Achievements : Indian Coal Forum was registered under Societies Registration Act 1860 on 12th March, 1997 at Delhi. It is an autonomous, non-profit, Non-Government Professional Organization. Indian Coal Forum is functioning as “Think Tank” for Indian Coal Industry and also works as a “Voice” of Coal at National and International level. This Forum has close collaboration with World Coal Institute (London) and World Mining Congress, Katowice, Poland. The Forum has been invited for participation in their Conferences by the European Technology Platform for Zero Emission Fossil Fuel Power Plants (ZEP) and such other world bodies. All the eminent personalities who have served the Indian Coal Industry as also who have shaped the policy of Indian Coal Sector are members of the Indian Coal Forum. All major coal producing and coal consuming companies of India such as Coal India Ltd. and its subsidiary companies, NTPC, SAIL are Members of Indian Coal Forum. Recently Indian Coal Forum organized a national Conference on a very important topic relating to “Climatic Change – Clean Coal for Green Power”.
