Major Activities/Achievements : The Himalayan Region Study and Research Institute, Delhi was established at Delhi on October 28, 1988 and registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 vide registration No. S-19394. From its inception the Himalayan Region Study and Research Institute is actively involved in meaningful activities to achieve its avowed objectives through very integrated research, extension and training programmes. Basically the Himalayan Region Study and Research Institute is taking-up-evaluative studies of the Governments development and welfare programmes with a view to assessing their impact. The Himalayan Region Study and Research Institute has completed thirty five major research projects funded by different funding agencies.
