Major Activities/Achievements : Ek Tara Foundation is a non profit charitable trust founded by chairman founder trustee Geeta Puri that is working towards enhancing the quality of life of children and women of the slums of Delhi.What started as a personal giveback to society is now an established recognised effort to empower the next generation with the right skills and confidence to hold their head high and dream bigger. The trust is overseen by a group of experts and advised by a board of governors from the field of media,education,international business and students. Geeta Puri was recently awarded the prestigious Karmaveer Puruskar in recognition of her continued contribution to the social upliftment of society and its underserved youth. our centres are in Andrews ganj – 100 pupils Baba Basti – 150 pupils Kotla- 60 pupils Mussepur,Bijnore- 100 pupils Our programmes were started with the idea of providing hope to the underserved youth in an attempt to help them realize their true potential.Its purpose was to fill the gaps in the lives of these children,education taking top priority followed by soft skills such as social interaction,computer literacy and etiquettes. the details presented below reflects the working of a typical program that is currently in place within various centres.
