Details of Achievements :
The Chandra Jyoti Welfare Society, an organization registered under the Registration of Societies Act of 1860 and established in 1990, is engaged in many social and educational activities especially among the poor and marginalized people of the society since last 21 years. It works with secular principals and perspectives giving importance to human values to individuals and the community as a whole. Its emphasis is on community participation and community based programmes for shaping the lives of the people who have been deprived of many prospects of development in every area of human prosperity. The CJWS concentrates its activities on Children Education, Community Health, Women Empowerment, Vocational and Technical Training for youth, Programme for Rag Picking Children, Physically Challenged and Elderly people. Chandra Jyoti Welfare Society came into existence with sole objectives of social welfare, empowerment of women, to eradicate women atrocity, generate awareness regarding various issues like rights of women, health, education, RCH, safe motherhood, employments opportunities and betterment of the society through taking into consideration various burning issues. Society has achieved some remarkable success, good rapport, greater acceptance and recognition in target communities of society. Being a non-profit organization it aimed at fostering communities to empower with full potential. The society believes that all individuals have potential and they equally share the benefits of development taking place in the community and society. CJWS is constantly trying to maintain strategic balance between Urban and Rural societies through committed team of individuals from different disciplines. The Society has a dedicated, experienced and professional team of Social scientists, Environmentalists, Technologists, Social reformers, Thinkers, Doctors and Professionals. The people have joined hands and extended their valuable support to promote the social issues, Information, knowledge and awareness to protect the communities and the resources of urban as well as rural areas. In particular, it aims at upliftment of the downtrodden section of the society, Social welfare, Educational needs and quality, protection of environment and culture, Health & sanitation, Women and Child development, Road Safety & emergency services, Rural development, Training, Research and Networking. In collectivity, our emphasis is on integrated development. Major development activities of the organization are focused on to encourage community participation for sustainable and effective implementation of the programs and projects. Presently the Society is engaged in providing Educational facilities to poor and needy students in Seemapuri of Northeast District of Delhi and its adjoining area. Society is prominently catering health, vocational and educational facilities to the urban JJ-slum population Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, M.P, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand along with integrated programs of women welfare, child immunization, HIV-AIDS awareness etc.
