B L Chandan Memorial Society’s profile including its objective and activities: B L Chandan Memorial Society is an organization registered under society registration Act of 1860, since its inception in 2002. B L Chandan Memorial Society mission is to protect children’s right to help them meet their basic need and to expand opportunity to achieve their full potential, guideline by the dream and aspirations of thousands of neglected street and working children we pursue our mission with both commitment and compassion because the children we serve the best Organization works towards the care protection and rehabilitation of neglected street and working children living in slum B L Chandan Memorial Society aims at creating an enable environment with an emphasis on health and life skills education, whereby these children can involve as healthy and productive individuals capable of interesting into main stream society as responsible citizens. B L Chandan Memorial Society work is in the marginalized urban settlement, which have not seen much development in terms of health and education facilities. With little access to education, most children living here either work as rag pickers, labour in construction sites, dhabas etc. or stay into vagrancy. The comprehensive project undertaken by organization cover nearly 1700 neglected children and these interventions directly impact the lives of this less privileged group and their proximate. One of the significant achievement of organization, since inception has been to work with various national and international organization. Government & non government agenciesand have the merit and quality of its project acknowledged by all. Organization runs various kinds of development programs for the welfare of weaker section. Organization has a sound experience, expertise, infrastructure to any kind of project. Organization is providing free quality education to out of school, rag picker children, and women. Society is running some self employment training centre for underprivileged community. OBJECTIVES: 1. To rehabilitate them socially and economically through education awareness skill up graduation and personality development. 2. To arrange for specific clinical, legal and other support for women girls in need of those interventions by linking and networking with other organization in both Govt. & Non- Govt. sector on case basis. 3. To provide emotional support and counseling to such women and girls 4. To provide youth affairs and cultural activities . 5. To provide such other services as will be required for the support and rehabilitation to such women in distress. 6. To provide vocational training program for women and girls. CURRENT ACTIVITY: 1.
