World record program on Folk song After a 6 months training for about 1800 participants from various schools NGOs 1467 students could perform Arangettam first performance on stage of Folk song is a great achievement of Aashrayam Rural Development Society Team. Around 50 institutions participated in the program Education and Training one week to one month continuous training programs in Summer vacation Is a main program of Aashrayam Rural Development Society through which many student youth and teenagers are mould to become a good quality citizens Various socio cultural environment technical professional experts is leading the training and educational sessions Health care Blood grouping, awareness, donations programs conducted by the institution Along with financial and social support for Endosulfan pesticide victims in Muthalamada Village of Palakkad district 12 traditional medical camps were conducted Career guidance Women empowerment and training followed by supporting programs were made by the institution is a notable activity By this many families are getting a small but regular income in floriculture Charity Food dress and other support materials are made available to Tribes and pesticides victim are made Environment National level study and training programs were conducted is highlighting program which paved a new way to work for various categories of people who live in different parts an sections of the society The individuals participated in the training later conducted many workshops trainings study trips forest and wildlife support programs action against pesticides .. were made and in which the organization also participated in most occasions Observance of house sparrow day World Environment Day etc are ongoing programs all the year Pesticides Support of Endosulfan victims antipesticide Week celebration were made in this year focusing the post issue period activities Health improvement social care and support finding and promoting alternative to Pesticides were the focus Inspiring and honoring the organic farmers helped a lot of farmers and youths to divert to organic farming practices Life skill training by trained persons especially from Rajivgahndhi institute Chennai are the key resource persons who could bring more results in imparting trainin. A leadership quality and confidence is being built among the participants in all the fields of individual life Literary Completions were also made to promote good reading and writing among students Students after Life skill training score better marks in the exams as compared to previous exams Higher results in schools where life skill training is given is a notable change Community empowerment Community living camps of professional students and teachers in Villagers of Endosulfan affected area as well as other communities brought notable change in terms of community participation in social service activities
