Details of Achievements :
Working in the area of education for poorest among poor children with the objective of 100 percent literacy for all and the right to formal education and access to health care for every child as provided under article 21. Today Aarohan supports over 350 children. Help them to get admission in the schools and encourages their academic pursuits by providing them after school hour tuition classes so that the child should sustain or complete his or her schooling. Our Projects Nursery It is in Jagdamba Camp Sheikh Sarai, where approximately 40 children from the age group 3 to 5 years are prepared to get admission in the mainstream school. This project is also a response to the needs of older students who were unable to attend school because they were needed to take care of their younger siblings. Asha Project Asha is dedicated entirely to the children who have never attended to school. Children are prepared to take entrance tests for classes that correspond to their academic ability and are assisted in the subsequent admission process. Works with children who do not go to school and provides them academic support and encouragement to return to schooling. Pass & Pathways & Ambassador of hope Pass provedes after school tuition facility to the students to whom Aarohan has mainstreamed after Asha project. From class I to VIII approximately 150 children are assisted under this project. As a majority of these children come from slum dwelling families they live below the poverty line, aarohan attempts to provide them with the academic and emotional support. By providing them with quality training and ensuring that they remain abreast with their school curriculum, these children feel more competent to cope with their studies and complete their schools. We are delighted to see that our classes not only assist the children with their studies but also increase level of confidence and self streamed. Students of class IX and X truly are our ambassadors of hope. Appearing for exams X board we provide professional tutors to coach the students in the more technical subjects. At this level, we ensure not only critical follow up revision but quality tuition classes as well. Our Achievements Through our field Assistance Project, we have assisted over 650 students in completing the necessary paperwork and documentation required Today, Aarohan provides academic support to approximately 350 children attending everyday classes. Most of the children now secure an average of 80 percent marks and most rank in the top three of their classes. Our motivation Camps have succeeded in bringing about significant change in the mind set of parents and families who have begun to send their children, including girl, children, both to school and to Aarohan follow up classes. In addition to a dramatic improvement in their academic performance, by leaving their slum area and coming to Aarohan on a daily basis, our children have gained higher levels of self confidence, groomed appearance and social skills.
