Aim is working for the betterment of the needy and helpless poor child. Our first aim is to spread the light of Education in the heart of illiterate child. They have no source of Education and they are completely helpless to get education from any source. Our second step is fight against corruption and criminalisation in the society. We want to make big changes in the society with the tool of honesty & determination. Aim Ngo has come ahead to work for the upliftment and betterment of the children and women residing in the slums of Delhi. Aim has been working with the slums children, taking a holistic approach towards education, keeping in mind the integrated development of a child. Aim is a charitable voluntary organization, established in 2002 to involve with the “young at risk”, particularly in Delhi Metropolitan area. The organization is primarily working for the betterment of the street & working children in the city of Delhi, Since 5 years. Aim project availing Formal Education to Street Children of Delhi Metro Programme take care of 15 street children in Delhi, These Street children are mainstreamed in formal schools. All necessary facilities, like uniforms, books, extra curricular activities, coaching classes are given to the poor children. The project provides basic necessities & educational needs to street children for a period of one year. The number of teachers was two initially, which has now been increased to four. The classes are run in two shifts daily – from 9.30 am to 12 noon and then 3.30 to 5.30 p.m. Aim Ngo has taken a pledge to fulfill the dreams of the street children. Making a beginning (in year 2002) of their welfare activities, with 6-7 children of 3 to 12 years, Aim started teaching these children- Hindi & English in a verandah (open space) besides creating awareness among them about issues relating to health and hygiene, teaching them poems and story telling and also providing counseling to their mothers for girl’s education. An informal, modest beginning later on took shape of an organized efforts Aim eventually getting registered as an NGO in year 2002 with clearly defined Mission and goals. And soon the NGO, refusing to look back, started spreading it’s wings- in terms of demographic as well as geographical coverage-both in city of Delhi.
