Major Activities/Achievements : The Devahuti-Damodar Svaraj Trust (hereafter DDST) supports projects that promote a holistic understanding in the areas of history, philosophy, education, social work, medicine, art, literature and related areas. The Trust aims to carry out various functions/activities such as the publication of journals, books and other printed materials; holding workshops, seminars, public lectures and nominating scholars to attend the same; giving scholarships and fellowships; running a support school; assisting libraries and organizing all other ancillary and administrative work connected with the above. DDST is dedicated to the support of Manana. Manana is the center from which the aims and objectives of the Trust are pursued. Manana made its debut in 1992, as an activity of the Devahuti-Damodar Svaraj Trust (registered on 6 June 1990) that has been working steadily for the past twenty years towards promoting an understanding and appreciation of Indian civilization through history, philosophy, art, culture and heritage. • Manana is a center for knowledge, research and training, with a view towards the holistic development of our youth • Manana serves as resource center for research on women’s issues with a special focus on gender studies • Manana provides help in myriad ways to organizations and individuals for research and documentation, by offering its library facilities and human resource skills. • Manana, The Devahuti-Damodar Library of Indian Civilization does not charge any membership fees • Manana offers a space in civil society for youth to pursue their interests and skills that is not available in government, religious or cultural bodies Manana, in the last two decades has developed well-formulated and ongoing activities that can be broadly categorized as follows: 1. ‘Manana’ The Devahuti Damodar Library of Indian Civilization 2.
