Bhartiya Mahila Avom Bal Vikas Sansthan runs HIV/ AIDS awareness Programme: The Bhartiya Mahila Avom Bal Vikas Sansthan held a rally and a health camp of HIV/AIDS/STD/STI/RTI in Nazafgarh & Nangloi slum areas. The Bhartiya Mahila Avom Bal Vikas Sansthan also held a awareness programme on AIDS/HIV and distributed the free condoms in Dev Nagar, Arya Nagar, Kabir basti, Industrial Area, Ram Nagar in Sonipat as well as we are working in Sangrur & Patiala distt. of Punjab State. The main object of the organization is to increase the knowledge on STD/STI/RTI/HIV and AIDS & decrease the STD/STI/RTI stigma. Under this program many people living under below poverty line, which are suffer by STD/STI /RTI and HIV positive got benefits to this program. We organize many awareness activities such as nuked natak, exhibition, one to one interaction, Puppet Show, Video show. Reproductive Child Health (RCH): The organization has been conducting reproductive and child health. The main objective of this program to improve mother and child health. Objective of program: Emphasis on breast-feeding. To improve mother and child health. Use of contraceptives. To reduce MMR & IMR. To get knowledge to adolescent for reproductive and child health. To aware community for immunization. Emphasis on small family. For this above-mentioned objectives we are organized many workshops and meeting to get aware to community for different issues such as family planning, breast – feeding, STI-STD etc. Labour welfare Awareness: Awareness programme for the labour working children in the age group of 6-14 working and labour women in the age group of 18-35 working in the hazardous conditions is being held by the organization in Lampur village, Delhi-40. This program organized with collaboration Central Worker Education Board, Ministry of Labour & Employment, GOI. & separately the organization has organized many camps and rallies for the welfare of the working women and children in rural, urban & slum areas of the Distt. Sonipat HR School for the working children: The organization is running a special school for 25 working children in Swtantra Nagar, Narela, Delhi. All the 25 children were working deferent types of labour work i.e. Rag picker, utensils cleaner on Dhaba, tea stall worker shoe polisher etc. Training Programme: The organization is running training programmes for the underprivileged youth of the SC/ST/BPL/women etc. These programmes are being run free of cost for the beneficiaries. The training programmes held are as follows:- Beauty Culture, Computers, Steno & Type, Tailoring, Cutting and knitting Environment awareness programme: Awareness programme and tree plantation programme on “Climate Change” funded from RRA, Delhi State were held by the organization in village Lampur, Bankner, Ghogha & Sanoth Delhi. The people of the area were motivated to plant more and more trees in the area. They were also given tips on garbage disposal. Road Safety Programme: The children of various schools Govt. & private and the school run by the organization told about the benefits of road safety rules and sing & signal on the road. Around 80 truck drive & 1020 other beneficiaries got the benefits of this programme in the targeted area. Intervention site of Project: Narela, Lampur Bankner & Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar Delhi. Cancer Awareness Campaign: On our resources BMBVS has cancer awareness campaign activity from last 1 Years. We organized the Awareness camp in once in a one-month in the Narela zone. Due to these camps a lot of men and female get aware knowledge of cancer .it is very successful organized camp as per need. The awareness activities through IEC materials & counseling through specialist. BMBVS has the main motto to spread message about the cancer in the community. BMBVS team spread the message among the general population through the magic shows, street play, and Video show & by rally in the street. Vocational Training Programmes: These Training programmes were held for SC/ST/OBC/Minority/Weaker Sections of the society in the following fields. Embroidery. Type & Short Hand. Beauty Culture & Skin Care. LMV Vehicle Drawing. Sculpture making. Cutting & Tailoring. Handicrafts. Computer training. Legal Literacy Programme: Legal literacy programme was held for the women of the slums and they were given the legal literacy so that they could be aware of their rights and duties. Game competitions: Game competitions were held in the village Khera Garhi to encourage the youth and the children in the area to participate in the traditional games and 150 youth participated in the competition and they were given certificates for the same. Women Awareness Program: 100 women of the rural area participated in the awareness program organized for the women on their rights and privileges. A legal expert delivered the information so that these women become more aware about their rights. Library: The Organization runs a small library for the children, youth and the aged so that they have access to the books and inculcate a reading habit. The library has newspapers, small books, journals etc.
