Details of Achievements :
Major Activities/Achievements : 1.Community Based Organization: DREAM mainly works with the local community groups. In Madanpur Kadar DREAM was able to tie up its works with New Ekta RWA and in Shri Ram Colony Naari Chetna Women’s Group. These community groups actively fulfill its works without hesitations. 2.Low Cost Housing: For the construction of low cost housing DREAM called resource person from Discipleship Center to help to solve people’s problems. Ms. Salma came and spoke to community people about their scheme as low cost housing is one of the programmes. 3.Right to Information Act 2005: The community people were taught on Right to Information Act; 2005. Called expertise from KABIR a NGO. They spoke on RATION and MITTI TEL. They also helped us to draft a letter to the Public Information Officer to provide information on ration and mitti ka tel. 4.General OPD: An application was given to Dr. K K Deori, Director MHS, South District of New Delhi requesting him to co-operate the community people to take maximum services provided by the MHS Van visiting in the community. He was also requested to send the Van in the community center where the health team can distribute medicines and have their check up done. 5.HIV/AIDS Counseling: Also an application was given to the Director DSACS, Delhi requesting to co-operate the community people to send their expertise for HIV/AIDS counseling. He was also requested to send the DSACS counselors to accompany the MHS Van visiting in the community center, where they can counsel the people. 6.Higher Education: About 60 students of 9th standard came with complaints that they are unable to go to school due to the poor transportation system and the schools are in far off place. 7.Celebration of Independence Day Whole community people celebrating Independence Day with New Ekta RWA And DREAM 8.Networking: DREAM also network with the local NGOs working in the target areas and in and around Delhi. On 31st, Jan; this year a meeting was held in Madanpur Khaddar Re-settlement Colony for tapping resources and foster partnership in field of expert. About 13 representative NGOs participated in the meeting and addressed the community people. Fr. Monodeep Daniel Convener, NGO Forum for Street & Working Children, Delhi, Dr. Brahm Dutt President, Leprosy Federation of India, Delhi, Mrs. Manju Mathew Manager ADP South, World Vision of India, Delhi, Mr. John Finch HR Manager, Discipleship Center, Delhi addressed the people and assured them for a better future.
