CHARITIES AID FOUNDATION INDIA (CAF) India is a registered public charitable trust established in New Delhi in October 1998, and is part of the CAF International network. CHARITIES AID FOUNDATION INDIA (CAF) India has a mission to increase the flow of resources from corporations and high net worth individuals to the non-profit sector. CAF India has a wide range of validated NGOs that work across diverse areas of children, education, health care, livelihoods, aged, animal welfare and environment. The NGOs CHARITIES AID FOUNDATION INDIA (CAF) India supports go through a process of due diligence and validation and CAF India ensures the NGOs recommended to its donors comply with all the fiscal, legal and regulatory norms in-country. Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) with the support of the planning commission, Govt of India validated a total of 1500 NGO in India in 2000 on the basis of financial ratios, legal documentation and impact profile. In India, CHARITIES AID FOUNDATION INDIA (CAF) India has provided giving solutions Payroll giving, Company Accounts, Donor Advised Funds to several individuals and multinational companies and their employees since 1998. Its key clients include GlaxoSmithKline, Microsoft, Adobe, HDFC Ltd., Coca Cola, Genesis Public Relations, American Express, Hewitt Associates and Ernst & Young, Give2Asia, Barclays, UBS and RBS. CAF India has successively provided support in the aftermath of Gujarat earthquake, Orissa cyclones, Bengal and Bihar Floods and Tsunami in Tamil Nadu. CAF India facilitated USD 1.5 million from corporations, individuals and International partners for charities working to rehabilitate victims of Tsunami in 2005-2006 CAF India has been engaged by the Ford Foundation to conduct a feasibility study to explore setting up of South Asia Grantmakers Association and by the Bertlessmann and Nand and Jeet Khemka Foundation to explore setting up of Community Foundations in Chennai, Bangalore and Delhi (NCR).CAF in partnership with the Rockefeller Foundation has also conducted a Mapping Study for Diaspora Investment in 5 critical Sectors. In 2007-2008 the Chronic Care Foundation (CCF) was incubated by CAF India on a build-operate-transfer model. A commitment was made for core funding and support. In 2008-2009 CAF India‘s resources grew from INR 2.32 crores in 2007-2008 to INR 3.76 crores. CAF India continues to offer services to be used by several global clients and international grant makers. In 2008-2009 CAF India disbursed funds to 95 NGOs.
