Details of Achievements :

Asian Indigenous and Tribal Peoples Network (AITPN) is a credible organisation having excellent expertise on training, capacity building, research and access to justice. The Asian Indigenous and Tribal Peoples Network (AITPN) regularly organises training workshops on national and international human rights procedures. The contents of the training depend on the expressed needs of the participants. In addition to an introduction international law, the training focuses on national and international systems for protection and promotion of human rights. A key feature of the training is the constant refrain and emphasis on the need for unimpeachable standards in fact finding and documentation. The aim of the training is to empower active members of indigenous organisations to assist their organisation in defining and implementing their strategies in using national and international human rights procedures. The training is unique as it contextualises the training programmes to the needs of the organisations or trainees concerned and it emphasises on combining national and international human rights mechanisms for protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms.
