Details of Achievements :

Major Activities/Achievements : ETASHA SOCIETY provides career guidance, vocational training and employability skills to 10th standard pass young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. ETASHA SOCIETY build relationships with industry and assist our trainees in beginning careers in the organised sector. Delivering training to poorer communities from 2 Career Development Centres in Delhi, ETASHA SOCIETY also works with local governments and NGO partners to bring about real economic change to the lives of young Indians and their families. Project Lakshya – funded by Tech Mahindra Foundation, provided employability skills training to almost 300 young people from slum redevelopment colonies in Madanpur Khadar and Noida and placed 60% of them in jobs in the organised sector in 2008/9. Conducted Career Guidance Workshops for 100 teenagers in government shelter homes in Kerala in July 2009. Project Umeed – ran CSWC (Customer Service & Work Culture) a 3 month program designed to help teenagers into entry level positions in the retail and hospitality sectors, in collaboration with the Arpana Trust.
