Delnet Developing Library Network promotes resource sharing among libraries, arranges training for library and information science professionals in ICT and as a result makes information and knowledge resources available in Indian libraries to researchers, public, students and all those interested in reference and research. DELNET- Developing Library Network, networks around 1,700 libraries, R & D organizations and information centres in India and outside India. It is devoted to the modernization and networking of libraries since 1988. DELNET has been supported from time to time by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Culture and the National Informatics Centre of the Government of India. DELNET gives access to more than 90 lakh records of books, periodicals, articles and other knowledge resources, provides Inter-Library Loan and Document Delivery Service at the national and international levels. DELNET also makes available articles and other documents not available in its union catalogues from national and international resources. Libraries interested in joining DELNET apply on a prescribed application form and fill in the MOU both of which are available at http://www.delnet.nic.in
